About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn, travel, and meet cool people and good friends along the way

ABOUT ME

I am a travel-chocolate-wine-food lover and English teacher living in Madrid. I am 26 and have been living in different regions the last 4 years in Spain and I am soon going on my next big adventure: Australia.

Spain has been home for a while but I continue to love meeting new people from different countries and cultures. I wish I could learn to surf well and I would love to improve my language skills. I enjoy hiking in the mountains and relaxing at the beach. I love to dance salsa and flamenco. I would like to learn more about cooking, wine, and music. I like to see live music and attend jam events.

PHILOSOPHY

LOVE and LAUGHTER cures everything.I hope that the future will be better for everyone. I would like it if people can one day understand each other more across cultures and backgrounds, and I think to achieve this most people need to travel. It not just makes people more knowledgable but more tolerant, open-minded and kind-hearted to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surf! I can help around the house and I am open to learning from whatever the host would like to share about their part of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Strasbourg, France and it was the loveliest way to spend Christmas. That experience had me sold that couch surfing can be so rewarding in meeting people from different cultures.

Interests

I love to hike, although in Florida there aren't any mountains to climb. I love to listen to a good variety of music. I'd like to learn to play piano. I like to learn about wine & beer and societal issues like gender inequality, family and community relations, films, the best treks to go on in the countryside, sustainability and the changing our food industry. I love to bake! If I could win a million dollars, I would go to a pastry school in Italy or France. I really enjoy reading and I like classic literature and contemporary fiction & mystery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed Mount Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia but I could not do it without the amazing support of our guide Jack and the fantastic group of people who all came together to accomplish this

Teach, Learn, Share

I love people who are super passionate about something. I think it's great when people are really into music, art, sports, engineering, or whatever and take their time to improve and work on what they do. I like to learn from them. I would love to learn more about gardening and growing vegetables.

I can help teach English and Spanish, how to make good brownies & cookies, chocolate espresso cakes, basic salsa steps... I can share stories and experiences that I have had living in another country and traveling

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ideas, opinions, a gift from the country I come from, help around the kitchen and cleaning.. ask me whatever you like and I can try my best to help or answer a question

I can certainly share a different American perspective on the world, especially considering how our politics currently are. NOT A TRUMP supporter or right wing.
