ABOUT ME

I am a musician; I've studied classically in guitar, piano and voice since I was a child and it's what I'd like to do with my life. I'm passionate about traveling and adventures, experiencing new things and meeting new people. I'm very open minded and very much go with the flow. Would love to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing because it gives access to meet new people and make lifelong friendships. It allows you to get to know a place through a locals perspective.

Interests

I spend a lot of my free time outside! I really enjoy time hiking, camping, skiing and I've recently started rock climbing. I like to attend as many cultural events as I can, such as concerts, the theatre, art shows, and galleries. I also love language and hope to be fluent in several languages one day (working on it!).

Another passion close to my heart is documentary work. I'm endlessly intrigued by people and our uniqueness, and it is gratifying to capture it in a cinematic way. I'm particularly passionate about cinematography and light.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've recently lived in New Orleans to study jazz and blues styles of music, specifically gypsy jazz guitar. I like all kinds of music! My favorite books more recently are Giovanni's Room, A Confederacy of Dunces, The Wind Up Chronicles. I've always got my nose in too many books. Finishing one at a time is quite the feat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While backpacking through Central America I went volcano boarding and co-taught surf lessons in Jaco, Costa Rica for six weeks! Soon I will be sailing along the coast of Mexico and to Tahiti, documenting the crew's journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach music in New York City to children and adults and would love to teach a host that's interested in learning a new instrument!
