ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, creative and balanced person; i believe life is no fun without friends, and a life without fun is... sad. So my friends are important to me, as is my family.

I like games and discovered you can find out a lot about people while playing a game. Once I even had a funny theory on how much a person is worth knowing, depending on how good they were and how much fun they were having playing Cluedo, but i got tired with Cluedo at some point, so i don't know what that says about me. :))

I'm not an eco-nut, but i believe in civilized behavior in nature and protecting what we have left of it, so I was an eco-volunteer for a while, helping grow new forests. I found many friends as a volunteer and it's a lot of fun sometimes.

I love animals, like old city centers, am not a mountaineer and never slept in a tent, although once i did sleep on the floor, in the dining room of a mountain cottage. I pretty much stick to cities and towns whenever i travel abroad, and usually plan ahead, as i believe thinking of where you're going and what you might do there is part of the fun of any trip.

PHILOSOPHY

Friends, comfort, joy, laughter, projects, plans, pets... I don't have a bunch of rules i follow as a life philosophy, i just do what i feel is good and right for everyone - family, friends, myself. This is the trinity i live my life in.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know Pitesti is not a tourist attraction, but it's a nice city, on the route to Bucharest or to Sibiu, and if anyone ever needs a friend to have a cup of coffee with, help with directions, or a place to sleep while passing through, then I'm here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed yet, but hosting has its rewards. I've met really nice people and learned new things in the comfort of my own house. :P And i experienced feeling like a tourist in my own city. :)

Interests

People are my passion, i observe and interact with people. I love animals, like old cities, old photographs, interesting architecture, old french and romanian music, and... well, yeah, hanging out with my friends, of course. I also like traveling with them. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading, lately I've been reading fantasy, science books and historically based fiction, but i like almost all genres. I'm a fan of A Song of Ice and Fire saga, I like Mika Waltari books, James Clavell, Neil Gaiman, Ken Follett, Amelie Nothombe, and even Harry Potter books, just to name a few. :) I read everything i think might be interesting, and even some books i just like the title of.

Music-wise, i'm not that knowledgeable. I listen to what i like and from time to time i have a new passion for a voice i discover or an artist, new or old. The message, the voice and the person are just as important as the music, for me. I remember discovering music with Edith Piaf, and she's still one of my favourite voices. I also like Zaz, Amanda Palmer, Queen, Abba and a few others. My tastes in music are... probably strange, but they're mine. :)
