One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I´ve seen an eclipse in the sacred mountain “El Quemado” in the change of mountains at sierra de San Luis Potosí north Mexico. It has been an unexpected natural and soul encounter with the “Huicholes indians”, at a wedding’s ceremony with Hikuri (the sacred plant).
To arrive to the highest part of the mountain, we climbed by the back side of it, and without noticing we took the most dangerous way because it was so incline lean ( land slide) with a few small footpaths that most of the time we were almost clinging like monkeys to take hold with all of our bodies, hands and feet grasping, Besides it started to rain! Finaly we found a footpath which leaded us through an entrance, was like a portal, huge monolitos rocks, clearly marking a sacred entrance to the land of Wirikuta (the sacred land of the ancient ones for the Huicholes indians) that entrance leaded us to the top of the mountain and by the way when we were standed in the footpath somebody appear a person an “angel” wich was standing there with his jorongo(poncho) and with a big smile.. like an aparitión... in the midle of the sunset , the rainbow came out and the guy ( the angel) asked us if we were looking for the cave (in fact we were not looking for a cave just to arrive and be safe) we told him that we did and he took us to the cave were we passed all night, we make a wonderfull FIRE with the other guys, in the middle of the complete deep darkness of the cave, only aparitiones on the fire...
Then sunrise arrived, I got out to receive the sun and the eclipse, the mariage between the sun and the moon. On the top of the ridge along the great body´s Elephant ( the shape of the mountain has the shape of an elephant ) mountain “El Quemado” for the Huicholes indians that’s where the sun was born and it’s the bellybottom of the world.
On the top we gathered all the people who have spended the night at the cave. I walked to the border of the mountain and perceived far... far away a bunch, bundle of little coloured spots that were moving all together like a cell of colors and far from the mountains they appeared and disapered in between the waves, the slops of the mountains and I was wondering... What is it? Each time they were getting closer and closer until they arrived next to me ... I find out ...they were the Huicholes!!! They were coming on a pilgrimage to make a ceremony for the eclipse; the marriage of the sun and the moon, they invited us to participate, we made a circle and at the climax moment of the eclipse the chaman married a couple. When the cermenoy finished we went down hill as a Group, a united group, happy, playing, celebrating life, we arrived to the party, chantings and prayers dance.
As a resurrection to the day before, we could’ve die...
I lived this experience with Alberto Aguilar, a year later...we got married... right there... we have a beautifull daughter, her name is Maiya. I got divorced 15 years ago, in that experience my connection with God, life and nature was ENOURMOUS. I learned, that it is there, always, I understood it’s prescence, love, it’s timeless...
