I am a curious, open minded soul. I enjoy spirited debates about anything, and I wash all that debating down with some fun energetic games. I am currently visiting Cittadella and working as an au pair for a lovely family of 5. I will be starting a master's degree at the University of Padova in September, which is certainly exciting. When I'm in Canada, I call Calgary home. I moved there shortly after finishing my bachelor's degree, but I desperately miss Toronto. I have traveled a bit, and enjoy immersing myself in new cultures. I find the challenge of learning from new experiences exhilarating.

Sono un'anima curiosa e aperta. Mi piacciono i vivaci dibattiti su qualsiasi cosa, e lavo tutto ciò che discute con alcuni divertenti giochi energetici. Attualmente sto visitando Cittadella e lavoro come ragazza alla pari per una bella famiglia di 5 anni. A settembre inizierò un master all'Università di Padova, che è sicuramente emozionante. Quando sono in Canada, chiamo Calgary a casa. Mi sono trasferito lì poco dopo aver terminato la mia laurea, ma mi manca disperatamente Toronto. Ho viaggiato un po 'e mi piace immergermi in nuove culture. Trovo la sfida di imparare da nuove esperienze esilaranti.

I want to experience all that Veneto has to offer. I have found difficulty attending any events because the trains stop running quite early (usually before 2200). I hope to be able to meet some people that are willing to give e a place to spend the night when I'm out attending University of Padova sponsored events. I intend to participate in a few discussions regarding immigration, TEDxPadova, and the CeRebration Fest.

In return for a place to rest my weary head, I will be a respectful, entertaining, and helpful guest. I'm always down for a nice chat, and can even cook (perhaps not as well as your nonna, but my food is edible).

Voglio provare tutto ciò che il Veneto ha da offrire. Ho trovato difficoltà a partecipare a qualsiasi evento perché i treni smettono di funzionare abbastanza presto (di solito prima del 2200). Spero di poter incontrare alcune persone che sono disposte a dare un posto dove passare la notte quando sono fuori a frequentare eventi sponsorizzati dall'Università di Padova. Intendo partecipare a qualche discussione sull'immigrazione, TEDxPadova e il CeRebration Fest.

In cambio di un posto dove riposare la mia testa stanca, sarò un ospite rispettoso, divertente e utile. Sono sempre giù per una bella chiacchierata, e posso persino cucinare (forse non così bene come la tua nonna, ma il mio cibo è commestibile).

I believe a good time is what you make it. The day could be dark and gloomy, but you can change how you experience it by choosing to be positive. Very rarely are there shitty activities. They are usually exacerbated by shitty attitudes.

Credo che un buon momento sia quello che lo fai. La giornata potrebbe essere buia e cupa, ma puoi cambiare il modo in cui la fai esperienza scegliendo di essere positiva. Molto raramente ci sono attività di merda. Di solito sono esacerbati da atteggiamenti di merda.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have spent half of my life in Uganda, and the other half in Canada. This has made me increasingly curious about how people choose to live their lives in different cultural settings. Now I am set to move to Italy for two years (in September), and my greatest anxiety, currently is how I am going to manage with minimal grasp of the Italian language. But hey, I do love a challenge.

Ho passato metà della mia vita in Uganda e l'altra metà in Canada. Questo mi ha reso sempre più curioso di come le persone scelgono di vivere la propria vita in contesti culturali diversi. Ora sono pronto per trasferirmi in Italia per due anni (a settembre), e la mia più grande ansietà, al momento, è come gestirò con una minima conoscenza della lingua italiana. Ma hey, io amo una sfida.
