I am a 50 year old married woman. My husband, Jeff, and I typically travel together. We are from Wisconsin, but since 2015 we’ve been traveling in South America (mostly Ecuador) and have recently become full-time international house sitters. I am a dietitian/nutritionist & diabetes educator. Jeff is retired from many years working in animal nutrition & agronomy.

Couchsurfing fits well with my current house sitting lifestyle. My husband and I love to meet new people and travel around the world building relationships, rather than staying in hotels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, sold my home lock, stock & barrel and moved to Ecuador at the age of 45 to experience living life in a different way. Best decision ever! We are now “Location Independent”

What I Can Share with Hosts

My husband, Jeff, is an awesome cook and loves to cook for others. We are both passionate about our minimalist lifestyle and love to encourage others to embrace minimalism in small ways in their lives too if they feel called to do so.
