I am from New York City and have caught the travel bug. I am completely new to CS and haven't used the service yet. I'm looking to use CS for the first time and return the favor once I'm back in NYC. I want to travel and explore the world more now that I am graduating college. I am curious, adventurous, and love to try new experiences. I'm not afraid to venture out on my own. I am independent, responsible, and determined.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I want to meet new people along the way. I have traveled solo before and know how important meeting people is. When I visit new places, I enjoy speaking to locals and I enjoy doing things beyond the touristy attractions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel to Ecuador on my own to visit my family after not seeing them or traveling for 10 years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach people. I have mostly done this in the capacity of tutoring in English language, math, and reading with people of all ages from 6 to 30 year old adults.

I also love to learn new things and always challenge myself to pick up new skills and experiences. I've learned to paint, do aerial gymnastics, drive(most New Yorkers don't drive), teach myself musical instruments and have learned Italian over 4 semesters.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge in languages such as English and Spanish. I am a native Spanish speaker. My family is originally from Ecuador but I was born in the US. I retain very close ties to my Hispanic roots.

I can share my experiences traveling in Ecuador. I can offer guidance on anyone traveling to NYC or San Francisco in the future.

I can be good company. Overall I love socializing with people and I'm extroverted but also enjoy having some quite time. You can be assured I am someone who will respect you and your home.
