I love experiencing different communities!

I'm a community-based artist and educator. I've been practicing it since 2007 and doing darkroom photography since 2003. I love all kinds of alternative photography processes from solvent transfers to pinhole. My Hasselblad is attached to me when I'm not working or going to school.

I believe in documenting and sharing stories through art. I'm so nerdy about it that I'm writing a dissertation on it and loving it!

I'm obsessed with cooking good vegan food because I like to trick people into eating healthy, even though I'm not vegan. That being said, I love chicken and waffles. Yes, put together with too much maple syrup on top.

I have 5 sisters and grew-up in a one bathroom household. I know how to behave in crowded quarters.

Nerds attract nerds, so I married a mathematician and he still makes me weak in the knees.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a late bloomer. Nearing the end of my twenties and I've never been further than Colombia, so I just spontaneously bought a ticket to Europe to go by myself.

But truly, the best way to experience the world and immerse yourself in any culture is to "live" with the locals.
