Hey :) I'm a happy-go-lucky type of guy who loves to meet new people and look on the positive side of life. I'm mildly spontaneous, meaning I like to wake up, grab my bag and follow where my feet take me.

I was born in San Francisco, but I was raised in Ireland - definitely happy about my parents decision to return home to Ireland, although I do love SF. I studied exercise in Dublin and then continued my masters in Europe/USA.

Currently, I live in Chicago where I work to help people prevent diabetes and obesity. With that, I guess I am pretty health conscious - depend on your definition of health.

I've traveled a good amount in Europe and the US, meeting lots of cool people everywhere I go. This is one reason why I like couch surfing, it introduces me to people who like people and what to share enjoyable experiences with others. being wrapped up in a hotel room, sheltered away from life is not my thing - hostels, airbnb or CS all day.
