Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Was here several years ago, active around 2011-2013, always had a good experience. Now that I'm extensively traveling again, I'm back. It's a more interesting way to travel and get to know a place, by knowing a bit about the people.
I realise that Couchsurfing has changed and now there are a lot of people who get touchy about being treated like "AirBnB hosts". I'm fine with being treated like a BnB host, if you're in the mood to chat, we chat and have coffee together; if you've had a rough, tiring day and just wanted to take a hot bath, that's okay too! I've been on both sides, as a host and as a guest, and sometimes I also just want to chill after a long day and not feeling like I have to entertain people :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh geez, I don't know, the easy answer is I listen to everything? I make classical music at work, listen to some hip hop in my down time, go to techno parties, and would sometimes blast old-school bay area metals out of my speakers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cooked a 6-meal Christmas lunch with two desserts for a whole French family of 16 and satisfied everyone including the Mamie. Worked in 5 productions in 3 months and survived. Walked along the Donauauen National Park from Vienna to Bratislava and survived.
