About Me
Hi there! I'm Diaz Miguel, a 30-year-old Freelancer who also drives for ride-hailing services. I love solo traveling and exploring new places on my own. I enjoy trying local cuisine, jogging in the area, and sometimes playing social badminton when I'm overseas. I recently had an amazing time solo traveling through Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, and I'm eager to explore other parts of Southeast Asia, particularly Laos and Vietnam. I'm looking forward to meeting interesting people and experiencing different cultures. I'm happy catch up or surf, depending on the situation. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of human connection and the magic of cultural exchange. I'm passionate about meeting new friends, especially locals, whenever I travel. I'm eager to learn about different cultures, share my own experiences, and discover hidden gems like local markets, authentic eateries, and unique hangouts that only locals know about. I hope to build lasting connections with fellow travelers and learn from their perspectives on the world.
Interests
I'm a passionate foodie and always on the hunt for authentic local flavors. I love to explore hidden eateries and street food stalls, and I'm always eager to try dishes that are popular with locals, not just tourists.
I'm also an avid jogger and enjoy exploring different neighborhoods and parks on foot. It's a great way to experience the city's rhythm and discover hidden gems.
I'm always up for a friendly game of badminton and enjoy playing with locals. It's a fantastic way to connect with people and experience the local culture firsthand.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big movie buff, particularly into sci-fi films. I'm a huge fan of the MCU and I also enjoy the mind-bending works of Christopher Nolan, especially his films like Interstellar, Inception, and the Batman trilogy. I'm always open to discussing movies with fellow film enthusiasts and discovering new cinematic gems.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I've done is to embrace the unknown and embark on solo travel adventures. It's been a journey of self-discovery, pushing me to overcome my fears and embrace new experiences. From sleeping at airports to joining local badminton games with strangers, I've learned to be resourceful, adaptable, and open to new connections. These experiences have taught me invaluable life lessons and have enriched my life in ways I never imagined.
