Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was through a Jordanian friend of mine I visited in Washington DC who used to meet couchsurfers for a drink or to show them the city around. As I was staying at her place we met 3 Finnish guys, went to an ethiopian restaurant and shared a hookah in a bar afterwards. We had a lot of fun.
A couple of years later I was in Macedonia travelling by myself and wanted to meet some locals. I registered on CS and sent a request to a girl asking if she would like to meet up the day after. To be honest I didn't expect to receive a positive answer especially since I didn't take time to fill out my profile. And what a surprise! Not only did Vera answer my email but she picked me up at the bus station with her scooter, helped me to find a place to stay, showed me the city and its surroundings and introduced me to her friends. She also put me in touch with a friend of her in Skopje, my next stop. She was so sweet! Thanks to her I keep such a good memory of my trip in the Balkans!
