Puisque je serai bientôt en France, j'ai décidé de me faire une petite description en français.

Je m'appelle Didier (oui, je suis francophone!) et j'adore explorer. Les petits cafés, la scène artistique locale, les randonnées, bref, tous ces choses qui rendent la vie si agréable.

Ma chambre d'invités vient de se libéré, mais je serai en Europe jusqu'à 2016. Si vous me visitez, j'aime bien passer un peu de temps ensemble, question d'apprendre à vous connaitre (un repas, un verre, une soirée, etc.). Lorsque je voyage, je peux soit être complètement indépendant, soit faire la fête avec vous, selon vos préférences! :-)

ABOUT ME

Just got back from my mini trip across Canada and I'm ready to host again! It was amazing seeing everyone's travelling and hosting style. I learnt a great deal from everyone.

I work in publishing and cultural journalism, though I'll take other odd jobs here and there. I definitely don't party as much as some other houses (Edmonton was insane in the best of ways), but I'm definitely down to invite some people over or go out. I know the local music scene fairly well and I can recommend quite a few places to visit.

I like hanging out with my surfers, even if only for a bbq and a beer. If I have fun plans, you guys are always welcomed. However, if you have no interest in hanging out, I'm not the guy for you. Hosting takes effort and resources, I do it because I love to meet new people.

Whether I'm hosting, surfing, or just travelling with others, I love sharing stories over a home-cooked meal. After a year working in cultural journalism, I can proudly say that I know plenty of wonderful things about my city. I'd love the opportunity to share it with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted quite a few people here, most of them through networks or friends. My former roommates also had accounts with nothing but positive reviews.

Right now, I'm back from surfing for the first time on a greyhound trip from Ottawa to Portland. There is something magical about experiencing so many different lifestyles all over this vast country.

I love outdoor adventures just as much as quaint little cafés and farmer's markets. I know almost all the live music venues in town and I can recommend you a bar for every day of the week (though Mondays are slow). I think I'm an intellectual at heart, for better or for worst, and I'll never pass the chance to have a great conversation.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Walking around the meteoras in Greece left me in awe. Yesterday I swam in a lake about an hour before building a snowman. Can't say u had done ome that before.

I'd love to learn anything you can show me, particularly vegetarian recipes. I can teach chess actually. I play a decent level, so even if you know how the pieces move, I can definitely help improve your game. I also play some guitar and can teach you a few easy songs.
