Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

Sorting out where to live after Bangkok. Making time to become good at salsa dancing.

ABOUT ME

I'm quite a natural guy, pretty simple I hope, in a good way I mean :-) I move nearly all the time, I use to think that 24 hours are not enough in a single day, and so from the moment I wake up I'm moving around and doing some stuff till I fall asleep, most of the time very late.
I've been living in Poland for a few years, great first expatriation... and now in Bangkok.
What more? I'm a teacher. Teaching is great, though it's difficult sometimes not to teach... the usual with teachers, but working on it.
Apart from teaching, I love to read, very interested in every possible subject, and always happy to learn! Of course, I love foreign countries, different people, ways of living, languages, all that I think we all share on CS. I love sports too, working out is most of the time a pleasure.

PHILOSOPHY

Count your blessings. Being French, I can spend a lot of time and energy looking for something, and be grumpy. But I never forget how fortunate I am and try to build on this feeling every day.

Always find some time to share a moment with friends and relatives. Nothing unusual though. I find it important to learn, too...anything, languages, cooking, playing, thinking, whatever...but LEARN.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING and EXPERIENCE

I've join CS long time ago, seen it evolving from a way to host to a way to meet, and it's been beautiful from the beginning. I've been hosting a bit, but more than that I've met some of the most important people in my life through the network... I'll always be thankful for those who made it possible, really.

I love to meet Csurfers, going to another country often means i'll send a few messages to hang around for a drink or a tour... hosting or being hosted is not often, but meeting for sure, even if we never have as much time as we'd like. Drop me a message, will be good to have a coffee and chat, anytime :)

Interessi

coffee coffee coffee... :-) sports too, I was lucky to try many different sports, did a lot of scuba-diving, sky-diving too, love to swim, hike, haven't played beach volley in a while but love it, snowboarding in a real passion, tried a few times to surf, that was cool.

Apart from sports I read a lot, spend lots of time on my computer, I have to admit that I love to work, and I love to eat and drink...best moments to share.

I've started learning Salsa after years thinking about it, and I plan to make more time for it in the future.

We love travelling with my wife, and we have a wonderful list of places to visit :)

We are rebuilding an old house in the South of France, reviving stone-wall terraces and planting olive trees... that's a wonderful experience as well, big part of our lives now.

Musica, film e libri

too many...I don't want some of my books to be hurt if I don't choose them in my list! The Penguin editions' logo is often enough for me to buy books.

Music on my playlist goes from classical to thai pop, brits have always produced great pop-rock, soul music is the core of all... add some ndombolo, old italian tunes from movies, and you have part of the picture. Currently staying on a Salsa playlist.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I was really lucky to grow up in Reunion Island...that makes it my best experience. Apart from that, dropping a last minute message on CS often ended up living amazing experiences!
