HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sleeping on your couch, floor, sofa, chair, bathtube, coat hanger, or pretty much anywhere safe... or not...
And sharing about where I came, where I've been, and plans where I will go ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just one, I sleept at the hostel's girl from Amsterdam while I was there and my bank card would just not give me the money to stay another night in the hostel when I had my flight back to Dublin only two days later... lol
Haven't meet her until my first night at the hostel and she opened her house to me, sad that I don't recall her name, but I am going to visit her again soon, hope to find her working in the same hostel :D

Interests

I like climbing, parashuting, canoeing, and bungee jumping, even though I haven't ever done anything from the list above, I feel that I would rock doing it...
From the things I've done, I like playing the violin, cycling, and traveling.
Update: Finally I can list out climbing, parashuting and canoeing from list above (yey !!)
I've Climbed the Fuji mountain in Japan in 2013, did Parashuting and Canoeing in Brazil in 2017 :)

Music, Movies, and Books

A little bit of everything really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The moment I was only having a drink with a friend at a very tradicional pub in Castleknock, Dublin 15. I hadn't even finished my 1st pint, when someone in the bar asked me to play the fiddle (as they call violins), I accepted his invitation and started playing... It was X-mas eve !! People started placing pints of Guinness in from of me... After drinking 12 pints of Guinness, I don't know how did I manage to finish that night playing the National Irish Anthem so good (I only know that cause my friend recorded on his mobile) !! Everybody stood-up and sang the hymn, and at the end everybody kept shouting for like a minute, no stopping !! It was a great night... :P
There was also that moment when I was visiting the Netherlands, and I had planned to stay there for 1 day, go to germany by train and spend 2 days there, and then return to Amsterdam in order to get my flight back to Dublin, the problem is that just after having paid the hostel for the first night, I went out to eat something, so I looked for a banklink to withdraw some money, and noticed that it wouldn't give me anything... I tried several banks, tried ringing my bank in Ireland, and that was when I found out that I got confused with calculations, and spent more in Brazil than I should have... not having even where to sleep after the first night, neither to eat, I went back to the hostel to talk with the girl that worked over there, asking if she would be able to let me just sleep there for two other nights, even if it was in the couch of the reception, she said she couldn't do that... but she would let me sleep in her house if I was ok with that !! She lived with her boyfriend and they were very very receptive, and my salvation, the next day I went to the airport and the company accepted to change my flight to a earlier one, the next one in fact, and that's how I managed to go back to Ireland, not having even one Euro in the pocket and neither on my bank account... lol
