About Me

I'm 1,90 metres, my hair is blond when the sun shines, I like life and I like talking to people with an open mind.
I like to actually DO things.
I am very grateful for my conditions of life and want to help others gain positive experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

To speak out opinions.
To actually say when one is satisfied (don't take for granted that people know when you're happy; you might as well just express your positivity).
To be straight forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to expand my social network to other cultures from what I know from miniature Denmark, my studies and friends. I want to get inside the ways that people think, and I hope to meet people who are different.
I will share what space I have and be grateful to hospitality of others.
I feel that people should actually write a full profile and write requests accordingly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travelled Turkey for 3 weeks, only couch surfing. It was hard "work", but definately worth it. Most people I met were inspiring and trustful, so from then on, I was encouraged to do a lot in this community.
I also couchsurfed an old family residence in the Saraha, talking politics to the locals and cooking food from the market of the oasis.
I have travelled around Iceland meeting people both through CS and through real-life encouters.
I also travelled Catalonia and the Occidental region of France for 3 weeks with CS. Everytime I go I learn more about how travelling should be.

I guess all is still well in the CS-world, as long as people write good requests, keep a tidy profile and read their host's profiles. I have been thinking about spending my energy in Servas instead.

Back home I have hosted foreigners in Copenhagen (though my place was really small) and we have been riding bikes around the city, cooking food at the dormitory and going out.

Before CS: I have stayed a few days at an elderly couple in Italy (becuase I was trapped by heavy rain), which was pretty amazing because of the way we could cooperate without sharing languages or interests.
Friends of my friends has often had a chance to stay with me for a night (eg. in the dorm after some event).
When I was a kid, my parents would have visitors from Africa, which has made a big and positive impression on me. I learned a lot from meeting people living in different conditions than mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whatching Buena Vista Social Club live under the stars with 3 other backpackers and 4 cigares in an "anfiteatro" in Lucca, Toscany, was pretty amazing.

Also playing the soundtrack from Into the Wild on guitar with Thorri in his self-build house was a good moment. Then we had pancakes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Running techniques - yes it does matter.
Photography.
Medicine? For you it could be boring though - I probably won't stop talking for hours!

Introduction to a lot of new and old fascinating music.

What I Can Share with Hosts
