About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Learn a song in every possible language🎵

PHILOSOPHY
"El pan se parte con las manos, pero se reparte con el corazón".

ABOUT ME
I enjoy meeting brave, inspiring and optimistic people. Music and languages never cease to amaze me and I love cultures, sounds and places that make you smile and think.

Born and raised in Northern Chile, then spent some years living and studying in Valparaíso; a must-see place on Earth:)

I've done a fair bit of hosting and surfing here and there for a while; CS is all about trust and that's exactly what we most need in this world.

2024 UPDATE
Last year, I started house-sitting, so far I've stayed in about 8 places. So if you're planning a trip for a few weeks/months, and need someone to take care of your plants + help you with bills while you're away, just drop me a message and I might help👍

Currently working on some side projects helping people improve their English/Spanish🌎

Interests

New life challenges, oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, big cities, little towns, the unpredictability of solo travel, music jams, busking, volunteering, geopolitics, the Balkans, the Baltics, history, travel photography, people's stories, empanadas, burek, and creative skills.

Oh and my name's Diego, not "dieggnr"👈😂 Just a quick copy-paste request red flag/filter right there haha

Music, Movies, and Books

Un poco de todo: reggae, rock, Andean, experimental cumbia, doomer wave, jazzy beats or anything with a brass section is always tasty. Books, movies and documentaries that depict a lifestyle different to ours or can inspire us to do something in the real world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure if it counts, but I experienced two severe earthquakes as a teenager back home and lived to tell the tale. Also, being a part of Melbourne's Crunchy Town (AU) and Wellington's Crows Nest (NZ) community houses was a life-changing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: a bit of español, English, melodica or give you some insights into Latin America, especially Chilean culture and language (español chileno).

LEARN: how to cook new dishes, write songs, sing properly or take better photos.

SHARE: a walk, meal, drinks or some music anytime.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Poland, Serbia
