Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The main reason im on couchsurfing is to keep in touch with the international community.

The first time i did couchsurfing was about 14 years ago. I was living in Perth, Australia, and when i heard the idea of couchsurfing i immeadiatly signed in and received a couple of people at the house i was sharing with other expats. I thought it was an amazing idea , but still, i could never force me to stay at couchsurfers when i was the one traveling around. I woulndt get replies or they where too late, and to be honest, im just way too independent to adjust to schedules of someone else when im traveling, so i decided i could just be a good host but probably i was never going to be a surfer. Then a few years later, when i was back at my home town in Chile, i started to host again, and recived quite a few people, but always giving the same independence i would like to have if i would stay with someone, that is: this is the house, here you can sleep, there's the kitchen and bathroom you can use, here you have the keys, this is no restaurant so get your own food, welcome, see you later. I of course like to spend time, talk, get to know, share a meal or have a walk, with the surfer, but i also expect them to be independent of all that if im bussy at the moment.
