Overview
About Me
hey, couchsurfers! I'm Diego, a marketing and advertising student who decided a year ago to start traveling and connecting with people from different parts of the world. cultural exchange is one of those things that makes you a better person. this month, I decided to explore parts of europe and meet incredible people.
my biggest passion is music. I usually travel for a concert or festival, so if I'm in a country, it's almost certainly for music. I enjoy everything from calm and romantic tunes to heavy metal. As I always say, "I'm a music lover, not a genre lover." If there's a guitar anywhere in the world, we can probably understand each other.
I love meeting new people, exchanging cultures, sharing our experiences, and finding common ground even if we're from completely different countries. Meeting locals in the countries I visit has introduced me to incredible places I wouldn't have discovered on my own.
It all started with a content channel I created. It grew quite a bit, and I received invitations to visit Santiago de Chile, Berlin, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. From that moment on, I realized there's nothing better than meeting people from all over the world while traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
while traveling in Chile, a traveler friend recommended this app to me. I would love to find events and meet new people to hang out with.
when I'm home for a longer period, I'm more than happy to meet travelers who need a place to stay and recommend all the best spots in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to absolutely everything (no joke, from salsa to metal), although I must say that metal is what I listen to the most. my playlist goes from slipknot, knocked loose, rammstein, ghost, metallica, to paramore, taylor swift, twenty one pilots, SHM.
the movie I always recommend is identity by James Mangold, the ending is incredibly mind-blowing.
my favorite book is the picture of dorian gray by Oscar Wilde. I re-read it every so often.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I almost died once traveling to Uruguay due to bad weather in the Andes. I've never seen such terrified faces as those of the flight attendants. It was an intense experience with everything happening on the plane.
additionally, being invited to international events sparked my passion for exploring new parts of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
one of the things I love is teaching something and learning new things. I've been playing guitar for years, and I'd love to teach someone so they can learn at least their favorite song (though it depends on which song, haha). I also play the saxophone, bass, and harmonica.
I've always wanted to learn languages. I started studying german as a new language, but I realized it's quite challenging without people around who speak it to share and practice with. french and italian are the languages I love the most and would like to learn, at least enough to hold a conversation or get the pronunciation right.
I can also share a lot of interesting facts about history and scientific advancements—those are the kinds of things I enjoy reading and learning about. You never know when you'll be in a trivia contest! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
sure you've read that Peruvian food is delicious. haven't tried it yet? I can prepare a typical Peruvian dish for you that I'm sure you'll love and it will become one of your favorites. If you like we can cook together.
we can go shopping, explore the city, grab a drink, coffe, wine, watch movies at home (you have to see Identity), go out and take photos, or even dance. I'm someone who is up for anything and believes that the best plans are the ones that come up spontaneously.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, United States, Uruguay
