About Me
Hi!
This is Diego, I live in Lurago d’Erba, a village, 13 km near Como’s Lake, which is one of the most incredible landscapes in all Italy! I live in a little town well connected with Milan city; my house is a couple of km far from the railways station and then you can easily take the train to go up to the mountain: in 20 minutes you can easily arrive at the nearest mountain, walking, trekking, skiing, whatever you want. Differently, You can take my same train. I have been a commuter since I was 20. I studied in Milan, Politecnico of Milan. In 50 minutes you’ll be in the downtown and then… enjoy!!!.....
Despite bothering you… take a look at google map hahaha…
I am Diego, I am 27, over the last years I have been trying to open up my mind to a different culture. I carried out workshop activities in Beijing, in Madrid and Budapest as well as my trip in London, Berlin, Barcelona and Paris, and the experience which changed my life, my work in Ghana. As winner young architect of a contest promoted by an American NGO. I was entrusted with the construction of a small building for a village in the Rain Forest. My duty was the management of the construction process.
Anyway There, something special happened, God revealed an Unknown side of my psyche; I found A poet in my Soul.
In this Serendipity, I would say, I discovered a secret skill, of being an artist, a poet, a written poetry, and as an architect, I found new inspiration in my projects.
Since that experience, I have been an activist in local NGO. I am part of Matogrosso Italian NGO: my endeavors with the organization correspond with weekly calls; I am part of “ASF Italy ( architect without borders )” and my dream would be working for Emergency, or other big NGO spending my life designing Hospitals, Houses, whatever for Poor People in the Word.
Finally Inspired by God I would Say, I accomplished other two important life-experiences:
In July 2017 I achieve alone my goal to complete the entire “Camino de Santiago” in 28 days with 35-40 km daily walking pace. (30.000 people world/year perform that ). Meanwhile, I made application to Bruxelles and I was chosen as lonely Italian Delegate as SCI (Service Civil International) member at Friedland, where it is placed the biggest European Refugees Camp since 1946. I learned the concept of BORDER, the relationships, and cohabitation among each other’s; how to approach people with different race, faith and backgrounds. Other activities were the debates that got me involved in public conferences arguing about big topics such as Refugees, Syria Crises, Arabic Spring, Palestine, etc. I believe not many young people could achieve it. I am aware of what happens in the world, contrary to as opposed to my peers and young people today.
These experiences helped me to increase my “Mental Coach” Skills and they define my-self as a Team Leader. I am usually confident and clear about what I want and how to get it. I show I lot of respect for others. Good listening skills come naturally as I frequently like to understand others’ opinion before making a decision
I love doing sport, Any kind of that, I tried to achieve a half marathon, and I would like to train for triathlon
Moreover, I love accomplishing strange and unique, poetic thing, like Walking in the moonlight only to reach the peak of a mountain and admire the sunrise, crossing by swimming Como’s lake, crossing in Kayak the same one twice; Fly with fly emotion, hanging from a rope suspended in a valley etc..
I always hosted people, travelling and knowing people; destiny wanted me to find in one experience Bao Quii and Ale, two Chinese Guys who became part of my family. As you can see from pictures they come to my graduation party, I hosted them for a long time and I hope to go to Shanghai one time too.
I hosted people since I was 15 with intercultural high school programme, I remember two girls from Felbach ( Germany) and another one from Tournon ( France ). A couple of Time I hosted A Canadian Girl.
Finally Three times Australian People, 50 years old, grandfather’s relatives I have never met.
I love intercultural exchange, I am thrilled, and I would be willing to try Couchsurfing.
Travelling abroad I have been always tried hostels to meet new people.
I achieved a trip in Africa, I accomplished the entire “Camino de Santiago” -1000 km on foot – only 10 kg backpack, sleeping everywhere, (literally, outside, in a tent, in a crop field ( amazing ) ). Finally, I was selected as SCI volunteer for a refugees camp.
Do you really believe I have any problem with space? House?
As I reported on my personal page I would be willing to host people, as I did in the past.
I hope to do so again, but I cannot guarantee…, because I leave with my parents and my GrandFather, who is 87! Actually this last year he came out with illness… you know…
However I hope you like my profile. I am a trustworthy person, and I willing to meet new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I carried out workshop activities in Beijing, in Madrid and Budapest as well as my trip in London, Berlin Barcellona and Paris, and the experience, which changed my life, my work in Ghana.
As winner young architect of a contest promoted by an American NGO. I was entrusted with the construction of a small building for a village in the Rain Forest. My duty was the management of the construction process
I left Italy alone, and, as first White man I made an adventure life trip…I was afraid, all the trip to arrive there. The place where I used to live was a very poor village, without any kind of comfort like electricity, current water, services, instruction etc… therefore the work that I tried to accomplish was so important. It was the first time that I really tried my abilities and the fact that it was helpful for the local people made all the sacrifices easier to bear. I worked side by side with people; I humbly tried to learn, following the philosophy: “teaching you will learn, learning you will teach”. The awareness of being the “water drop” of the ocean you cannot control...” not the drop in the ocean...but the entire ocean, in a drop”… This awareness revealed my way of “helping poor people”: being reliable and sensitive; forgetting my problems, smiling and respecting each other’s Borders. I heard stories that touched me inside
Anyway There something special happened, I revealed an Unknown side of my psyche; I found A poet in my Soul.
In this Serendipity, I would say, I discovered the word of volunteering; for this reason since then I have been an activist in local NGO.

You can reply me a lot of people accomplish that... maybe you do not know I made it without only athletic training, only mental one. I was called Mental Coach. From Burgos To Santiago I accomplished 380 km in 9 days of walking trip, with a daily score trip walking pace of 38/40 km. I was literally flighting. Is it not enough? I was in a village called "Sarria", 113km far from Santiago at Wednesday. I was eager to arrive to my goal for Sunday Mess ( I catholic ) . I accomplished it in two crazy days.. 52+61 km ! (13 yours walking day track) Normal People usualy got in in 4 days. other one in an entire week.
Meanwhile, I made application to Bruxelles and I was chosen as lonely Italian Delegate as SCI (Service Civil International) member at Friedland, where it is placed the biggest European Refugees Camp since 1946. don't worry I won't touch the argument... :)
I am willing to share my life-experiences, volunteering experiences, Africa,Santiago... Spain, France, China, ecc.. , I can show pictures, tell stories, I am a story teller. I like to say: if you travel, you have something to say.
....
The Question was: What could offer to person who is willing to host me....
best answer, interchange experiences! Share stories! My question is: what could offer you to me too? :) :)
I wish to be hosted to somebody funny, eager to talk, not shy, come on!
Finally, I am a poet, it is a secret skill, a concealed ability, but.... I could please you with some beautiful "word world"
