About Me

Hi! I'm Diego. If you're here you want to know something more about me. Well, not much to say. I grew up in a little town in the mountains, the Alps, close to the border with Switzerland. I'm a photography lover, especially landscape photography, I love to hike and to stay as much as possible surrounded by nature. I like to travel and I take every opportunity to explore the world and meet new people, new places. Hoping to bring home some beautiful memories.
After covid 2023 it's the first year that I can travel again, so here I am again!
I used to live and work in the caribbean and I used to host people there, then I travelled for a while mainly in South East Asia, then when the wave hit I moved back to Italy and now I live in the same place I grew up. The last project I'm working on is a self converted van so I can live on it and travel in Europe with more freedom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I like to travel and see the places not as a tourist but as a traveler, I want to experience the place like a local. I love meeting peoples with my same mindset and learn from them. There is always something to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

Any good music, or just the sound of nature.

Paulo Coelho, the alchemist. This book literally changed my life!

I love movies in general in particular sci-fi, fantasy and all the MCU's movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a campground for about 3 weeks on a little island in Malaysia in the rain forest, close to the beach, with no cell service and no electricity, sleeping on my beloved hammock, drinking water from a waterfall and showering in it as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share stories about travel and any kinds of experience. And I love to listen! Because listening we can learn every day something new!
As someone said: “listen two times and speak once, that’s why we have two ears and one mouth.” ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you a delicious italian meal! If I can find the ingredients lol
I can teach you something about photography or photoshop!
