About Me

Traveler with huge smile, open-minded, enthusiastic and positive person always open for adventures. Enjoying life, meeting new people and new cultures.

I’m a final year undergraduate student studying Civil Engineering at the University of Limerick, Ireland. I come from São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil with a population of 11.32 million people. I'm part of the Science Without Borders Program, and currently I'm the International Student Ambassador of my university in Ireland. International Student Ambassador Programme is government-recognised in Ireland.

Becoming an Education in Ireland International Student Ambassador was the opportunity to keep helping students here in the University of Limerick and show our experiences to many different countries and cultures around the world. I wish everybody could know Ireland and Brazil as I do!

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic Rock and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), it is often sounds very simple, but is actually quite complex. I'm sure I don't have a specific type of favorite music, but I also know that I can't survive without music in my life.

Books always facinated me, from the classic as Justino, o Retirante (Brazil) to the writer André Vianco (Brazil). What about Harry Potter?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm part of the Science Without Borders Program, that is a Brazilian and Irish Government scholarship programme which aims to send 101,000 Brazilian students on undergraduate sandwich courses, PhD sandwich courses and full PhDs to study in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and creative industries at top universities around the world. I feel like I'm really blessed and lucky because of that!

Teach, Learn, Share

As an International Student Ambassador, I have a blog where I try to share my ideas and my experience abroad. Education in Ireland: http://blog.educationinireland.com/portfolio/diego-batista/
