About Me
Hello!
My name is Diego, I am from Spain, and I am 27 years old. There is a lot I can tell you about myself (too much, probably), but I would prefer to do it in person!
I'm also gay, which means I prefer friendly, open-minded, and accepting people. I do not intend to use this as a dating app. :)
I think this is a wonderful way to experience the world in a more human way while meeting like-minded people and hopefully befriending them!
P.S. I will not reply to friend requests from people I haven't talked to or met before, nor to messages with a simple "hi".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2023 I decided to embark on an adventure and travel solo through Australia, Asia and Europe for 6 months, which finally made me decide to use Couchsurfing. It was one of the best decisions I made! I met so many wonderful people and it helped me discover amazing places!
In September 2023 I moved back to Budapest, where I found an amazing job. I once lived in Budapest between 2020 and 2021 and it´s my absolute favourite city in the world, so I am thrilled to be back here. I love discovering new places in the city, as well as showing others what I know and why I love this place so much.

Music, Movies, and Books
My faves:
- Music: Rock, 80's, Indie, musicals... But I have quite a broad musical interest, so I might surprise you! So far I've been lucky enough to attend concerts of bands such as Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Dua Lipa, Bonnie Tyler, Kings of Leon, Europe, Scorpions and Bryan Adams.
- Movies: Basically anything that can surprise me, I love a good plot twist. Also, I love animation, specially Studio Ghibli, Pixar and Studio Laika.
-Books: Pretty much everything that falls in my hands, but mainly Sci-Fi and epic fantasy. Right now I finished catching up with the works of Brandon Sanderson and the saga of The Three-Body problem and started to read the sagas of Hyperion Cantos and The Wheel of Time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too hard to choose, so here are 4 amazing things I've done:
- Crossing a frozen lake in Norway on a sleigh.
- Kitesurfing in the Baltic Sea, in the North of Poland.
- Randomly getting into Disneyland LA for free.
- Living in beautiful Budapest for a year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am open to learning anything! From a new language, to the culture, to anything remotely interesting. I am quite a curious guy, so it's not hard for me to get fascinated by new things. I think so far what I am most interested in would be languages, cooking, fitness and drawing or painting!
As for teaching, I am quite a versatile guy, I've studied arts, languages and now entrepreneurship, so I am sure we can figure out something I could humbly help you with!
