We are Diego and Angie, 32 and 30 years old, him Visual Artist, her Marketing and logistics professional. Originally from Colombia but traveling for the next couple of years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hello travelers and Couchsurfing friends!

We are Diego & Angie, a Colombian couple passionate about traveling and sharing our rich coffee culture with the world. Angie has been fortunate to explore more than 30 countries, immersing herself in a variety of cultures and landscapes that have left an indelible mark on her heart. Diego, on the other hand, is an artist who carries his creativity wherever he goes, bringing a unique and colorful perspective to our adventures.

We love immersing ourselves in the local life of each destination we visit, exploring local markets, trying authentic food, and connecting with people from different cultures. But what we are most passionate about is sharing our coffee heritage with the world. From the mountains of the coffee axis, in the center of Colombia, we carry with us the joy and flavor of our Latin American culture around the world, ready to share with our Couchsurfing hosts and friends anywhere.

We are excited about the opportunity to connect with other travelers, exchange stories, and learn from each other. Whether sharing a cup of coffee, trying some local liquor, dancing to the rhythm of local music, or simply enjoying a good conversation, we are always open to new friendships and enriching experiences.

Interests

I enjoy exploring nature and reading in outdoor settings, where I can immerse myself in the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. Additionally, I'm passionate about collecting magnets from the places I visit as souvenirs of my adventures. We're both interested in getting to know the local lifestyle wherever we go, whether it's by trying traditional food, participating in cultural festivals, or simply chatting with locals. As for Diego, he finds inspiration in his love for art and creativity. He enjoys painting, drawing, and photographing the landscapes and memorable moments of our travels, as well as collecting photos of wildflowers he encounters along the way for the past year. Together, we enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, as well as exploring local gastronomy and visiting stadiums, museums, and other relevant sites in the destinations we explore. Additionally, we like the thrill of occasionally hunting for geocaches to add an adventurous touch to our travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts a warm and friendly atmosphere in their home. I'm respectful of their space and rules while being sociable and open to sharing stories and experiences. I'm happy to contribute to household tasks or assist with any projects they may have. Additionally, I'm always eager to learn about their culture and way of life, and I'm open to participating in local activities or events they recommend. Moreover, I'm delighted to extend an invitation for them to visit our home in Colombia someday, should they ever wish to explore our beautiful country. Overall, I aim to be a considerate and enjoyable guest who adds value to their hosting experience.
