About Me

I am very organized, analytical, and I think introverted. Nonetheless, that won't prevent me to go dance, party, sing karaoke or even act (love both), and definitively share a meal/coffee and just invite friends to my place, or enjoy being invited to other's.

I am a believer of the harmony of our body/spirit and the nature, and the other living beings as well. I love animals, mountains, the smell of the mornings, and the colors and majesty of sunrises and sunsets. The moon has been my muse since before I was born.

Lately I have discovered (perhaps self-induced) the path of fitness and being kind of green, that's why I would be more than eager to spend and share a workout, any sport, immersion in nature. In this line, I decided to quit eating beef, and I have been trying to reduce my environmental / social burden/impacts in several dimensions.

I like music, rock in particular. Jazz, and salsa are also within my beloved ones. I love dancing to the extent of being able to teach (latino vibes mainly), but also opening myself to learn, for example Waltz (in Vienna) and American Line Dances (when I lived in The US).

History and culture are also of my particular interest. I enjoy going to museums, opera, theater plays, concerts (yeah, classical is a must), exhibitions and even more if they relate to engineering or science. (Sorry NOT SORRY for being nerd)

I like playing and watching football, tennis, ping-pong and could do some volley too. Swimming is a must, but mostly when nature demands it.

I cook, but simple dishes. I could offer nice and colorful preparations as well if I wanted to. I love my family, my friends, MY DOG, fruits, Colombia, the world, Queen and overall people that smile, are humble, and want a better future for all of us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly believe we were given a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this world, and that's why I try to catch every single chance to travel. But not only to travel, also to experience and share, because I've learn that just spending a single talk with someone, a drink, a walk, a dance, a movie,a party is immensely valuable.

Definitely to get new experiences and to learn and interact with more people. One first relevant intention is to find hosts, considering that I am a traveler and explorer, and there is no more fun, real (and cheap, we must accept) way to get to know places and share time.

Obviously, in my place there would be place for welcoming travelers at some point in my life and after some filters. I like being touristic guide, I just realized. I like history, nature, museums and other cultural events, sometimes cooking so I suppose I could also be a good host.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
- I love rock, jazz, salsa (I am latino :D), indie and can't leave out classical

Books:
My favorite author is Dan Brown, and that says a lot. I love historical fiction...

Movies:
I love thrillers, sci-fi and documentaries. My ranking is: The Shawshank Redemption, V for Vendetta, and, The Man in the Iron Mask

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I could list:

Visiting and hiking in the Chimborazo, up to ~ 6.280 meters over the sea level was definitely challenging, and while watching the sunset from there, you realize that is (and you are) amazing!

I think the creation of a dancing club in my dorm in Vienna was amazing. We didn't charge at all, it was just an initiative to share moves of different places of the world, by the students living there

I have been volunteer in the Food Bank in Bogotá, and in a National Park in Colombia. Furthermore, I helped a foundation of rescued animals in my city. I think, serving and helping others without expecting anything in turn is amazing, and that's why I mentioned it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching. Things that I feel confident and eager to share (hopefully I am good at them ahah):
- Latino dances and moves (I have participated in the creation of a dancing club in my dorm, in Vienna)
- Spanish, and perhaps English
- Obviously cannot leave out engineering stuff, and math
- Working out?
- Colombian cuisine?
- Tennis, Football, Ping-pong

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, besides the comments on the Teach, Learn, Share, I could definitely:

Be open to have any kind of conversation, as long as it is not human / animal rights threatening or a very weird topic. I love just talking to people and hearing of their background, their history and the history of their towns / countries. I think that's why I love dancing because at the end of the day, through it I also can learn about the different cultures (I am open to learn any dances from the world

At the same time, I love sharing my culture, so I would try to delight you with a Colombian breakfast / lunch, that will be prepared under the vibes of some tropical music

I could also share time in terms of, for example, spending a good work out session, a football, tennis or ping-pong game (either watching or officially playing). Or just attending a cultural event or a simple walk... If we decide to party, we party hard as well...

I love animals undoubtedly, so I could offer my help / knowledge / love in case is needed during my stays. It wouldn't be a problem if my hosts need to leave, I could manage the caring of their pets, for a while...

Definitely, I am organized and clean as fuck (sorry) so I will definitely help cleaning / organizing stuff. If there is something to be fixed, count on me. If you need help with bureaucracy or carrying something, just let me know...
