About Me

Hello! I am a third-year college student from Nashville, Tennessee who is currently studying abroad in Paris for the semester. I love meeting new people and seeing new places and am on a bit of a budget so I would really really appreciate any hosts who could help me on my journey around Europe! I think I’m very approachable and I really enjoy few things more than sharing experiences with new people from different cultures and places. Along with English I also speak fluent Spanish since I was born in Mexico and have been learning French for the past couple of years.

I love music, art, and architecture, amongst many other things, and am super excited to get to experience these things here in Europe. I’m also a big outdoors fan and am always up for a hike or any type of active endeavor. Out of all my hobbies, I would probably say that making music is my favorite. I have been learning how to produce my own music and remixes for the past four years and have some online if you would like to hear! They are not great yet hahah but it's definitely a great pastime and a great creative outlet over the years. With that said, I am always down to talk about and even make music! I would definitely love to meet some other people who are passionate about music while traveling and couch surfing.

All in all, i'm just extremely excited to get to travel and meet some new people from very different walks of life!
Thanks!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and experience their culture through their unique perspective! Also, I could use some help finding places to stay while making my way through Europe. I am currently still a student but I absolutely hope I can host other surfers once I return to the U.S. and have my own place!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies - I love too many to post but amongst my favorite would definitely be...
Mr.Nobody, Donnie Darko, Inception, Memento, The Truman Show, No Country for Old Men, Interstellar, The Matrix, Django, Shutter Island, and Avatar.

Favorite tunes - Also way too many artists to list them all, but for a good bit of my taste, some of my favorites the past couple of years have been...
Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Beach Fossils, MGMT, Toro y Moi, Real Estate, Pink Floyd, Flume, Mac Demarco, The Smiths, Badbadnotgood, Bill Evans, Erik Satie, Tchami, The Beatles, Washed Out, Crystal Castles, Major Lazer, Jack U, and most of Diplo's stuff, Tears for Fears, Disclosure, Martin Garrix, Neon Indian, Jimmy Buffett, Darius, Kendrick, and J Cole. Really though I like pretty much any genre of music from any time or least i'm definitely willing to give it a listen! I'm constantly listening to new music and always love talking and sharing music with others!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having played violin since 5th grade, in high school I helped organize a Christmas service project with my friends to play music at retirement homes around Nashville!

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I could teach/would like to learn more about...
- Music theory (violin, piano)
- Music production (ableton live)
- spanish/english/ perhaps basic french
- knowledge on Mexican or American culture
- knowledge on sustainability/renewable energy/ green building science and architecture
- photography
- longboarding
- economics
- international relations
- would like to learn about pretty much anything you could teach!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe that I am naturally a very positive and content person, especially while traveling, so I hope I could share this energy and sentiment with my hosts! Also, I thoroughly enjoy meaningful conversations and debates that help me reach better perspective and understanding. Regardless of the issue, I always like passing on what I know from my experiences to others, and even more so, learning something from everyone I meet from their background and their own experiences.
