ABOUT ME

The name's Diego, I'm currently on my mid-20s, living in Caracas, Venezuela but wouldn't say no to relocating in another place and another time. I'm a sucker for design, photography and music, more of a enthusiastic than a sucker. I'm a journalist, that means I'm rather intelligent, but do always have my ditsy moments. Always interested in meeting new people from all rounds of life.

PHILOSOPHY

Venezuela is not the easiest place to live. Therefore, whenever I get to travel, it's an experience I always cherish. It allows me to be as free as I want to be, to be inspired as soon as I leave a door into the street, that's one personal philosophy I'd love to live by. Apart from that, I tend to be a very strong-minded person, I don't like to be disrespected, missunderstood or underestimated. If I'd ever have to speak my mind, I do it gladly to let people know I'm not about to be messed around with.

I'm new to the site. Still, I'm able to showing the city and its wonders. I'd also participate in surfing couches, of course.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had much of an experience here on CouchSurfing, but I've heard so much about it that I'd like to give it a try.

Interests

I love art and creative process in general: painting, sculpturing, writing, producing, photography, music-making...I'm all ears into that. Love to read, watch movies and have a wonderful chat with a nice company and glass of wine to go along with it.

Music, Movies, and Books

In movies, I love musicals (Xanadu, Fame, Tommy, most of the Beatles' movies), I also love art films, short films and documentaries. In music I'm a bit of an eclectic kind of guy, I like everything from 60/70/80s music to electronica, Indie, rock, pop, house, Disco, italo disco, etc. In books, I love biographies and tales of shocking stories that have happened before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen nights at different clubs in England and NY that are so far removed from what I've seen here in Venezuela. That's not really "amazing" but that's kind of the first thing I can think of at the moment. I'll think about it later!
