About Me
CURRENT MISSION
For now: Finish my major in architecture and my masters in urban design while I meet incredible people.
ABOUT ME
So I heard about couchsurfing and I decided to give it a try... so here I am.
Where do I start....
Well, my name is Diego Suazo Vacarezza. I'm 27 years old. I'm Chilean/wanna-be-american, part jewish, part italian who loves to be live life to the fullest.
Myself: I speak spanish, english and a little bit of italian. I consider myself an outgoing-positive person who loves to talk (probably you already figured that out)
Very clean, also consider myself a very respectful, open minded and responsible individual who loves shearing good times with new people and shearing different points of view.
My education: I already graduated from Acting and Architecture at Chile. On 2009 I studied abroad at UC Davis, California, started singing and acting in musicals ever since. On 2013 I came to the US to study Architecture at the University of Miami.
Favorite activities: Singing, talking, drawing, visiting places, taking pictures, model building, coffee breaks, jogging, gym, working out, walking, biking, animal lover, talking to dogs! can't stop petting them.. can't resist them. Watching movies, plays, musicals LOVE COOKING. waking up in the morning, smelling coffee, sunrises.
Hardcore activities: Go out dancing, nice strong drinks (always in a bar or something never at the host's home... unless i'm drinking with them of course) Working out... nothing better that a good work out.
Oh yeah. and I forgot to say. jejejee I'm GAY... and I don't think it's a big deal, but I understand that some people don't feel comfortable with that so I thought about mention it...
What am I expecting: For now, I can host not for many days in a row and only one person at a time. (Prefer weekends) I rather to know hosting details in advance so I can plan my schedule, because usually is super busy . I don't live alone, I live with my family in a district outside downtown area, so consider that jajaja (sorry at least until next year, please read housing description). Cause I'm studying architecture and doing my masters probably won't have so much time to hang out, but I will do my best to do so, and definitely give you some pointers if I can't. Last Minute couch is an option but I try to plan in advance.
LOVE THE IDEA. Thats why i wanna couchsurf with people so I can get to know the real city by their people. Don't worry about me being annoying at the house, I can make myself useful, clean the place, wash the dishes and even cook... singing is extra. (jk)
If you don't wanna hang out with me is fine!!!I could take care of myself and i won't be an inconvenience for you. But if you want to talk, party, hang out, share experiences, practice spanish ... I would be happy to!
Tell me what you think! (sorry about the long description btw jajaj like I said I talk to much jejjeje )
PHILOSOPHY
There are many important things like trust, love, respect... but also my personal philosophy is to always be happy and smile... you never know who may need it.
Quoting favorite quote from Chile:
"Una sonrisa cuesta poco y produce mucho, no empobrece a quien la da y enriquece a quien la recibe. Dura solo un instante y perdura en el recuerdo eternamente..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now I'm only a surfer... but on the future, once i come back to Chile i would love to offer a couch too :)
That's the point of this isn't it? making great connections and experience :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Some awesome guys have hosted me in NYC area and all of them had been great! Happy to keep doing it. Since I went to California on 2009 until present day I have had lots of experience on being hosted by friends and adopting families.
Great people. Incredible experiences.
Interests
Well,
As an Actor, there is a part of me that loves acting, singing and dancing. Mostly everything that involves hanging out with different people and having a great time moving around.
There is also another part of me, as an architect, that loves walking around the city, getting to know the ways and finding little corners of history and random people.
I'm an athletic person. Love going to the gym, jogging, trekking and swimming. Mostly any kind of sport (which doesn't mean I'm really good at them..but I have a great time anyway ahhaha)
Also love movies, partying and a good talk.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: For me it's different the music to listen to than to dance with. Different songs for different moments in life.
For dancing: Electronic, POP, Hits, Reggeaton, Hip-Hop... basically everything that makes your body jump. :D
For driving, eating, working: Roadtrip songs... Love The Fray, jason mraz... maybe roadtrip songs... i think is called folk music?
Also Movie Soundtrack songs
MOVIES: ALL OF THEM!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky to be part of a fraternity while I was studying at UC Davis. (Delta Lambda Phi) I believe that one of my best experiences or stories came from the moment I decided to join them. (not a stereotypical frat boy... don't be scared hahaha )
Also, I think another experience that have left me awestruck has been taking a flight to New York City for 6 days, on winter with my best friend Jennifer Lerner. I still remember that trip with a huge smile on my face.
