Overview
About Me
Good morning sunshine!
I'm one happy blond Swiss / Dutch girl. My friends and colleagues sometimes call me princess, but I prefer thinking of me as a highly active, simple, kind, clean, funny and easygoing person. ;-) Who doesn't?
I grew up in Bern (CH), studied in Lausanne, Amsterdam and Geneva; worked in Senegal, Wyoming and Cambridge and now I'm (back to the roots) one of the 30'000 state employees in Bern.
I love to explore. However, for the sake of the planet I try to avoid unnecessary plane trips (or at least limit them).
Since Mongolia I truly eat anything, I can fall asleep anywhere and I enjoy (almost) any company.
Ps: I'm really not much if a great chef in the kitchen, but hell I'm a good eater and good - food-lover. :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hospitality is a core value of mine.
For a long time my housing situation unfortunately didn't allow to host people, but now I have my own little apartment and I'm very happy to offer a place to sleep (especially if you make people laugh, I love that - to laugh I mean). However, it's just (a nice) studio, so I can't offer much privacy.
Interests
Hiking and cycling is awesome (you're welcome to use one of my three bikes). I'm a passionate volleyball referee, love listening to audio-books, do horseriding whenever there is room for it (in Switzerland it sucks, too small of a country) and I do try to do sports on a regular basis (which works sometimes better than other times, haha, lazy princess).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whenever I have time I'm happy to show you around in town or in Switzerland. Want to go on a hike? I'm in!
I also have a small boat which allows to float on the Aare - pretty amazing in summer.
