About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get established! I haven't lived anywhere for longer than two years since I was 17. Right now I have the blueprint for something more stable; I just have to execute.
ABOUT ME
I've lived a bit of a nomadic life, so of course I love to travel! I know how it can be, so I do also like to host and help out wherever possible. I'm an extrovert and I'm interested in almost anything, but I also appreciate peace and quiet. That is to say, I'm extremely flexible.
PHILOSOPHY
Infect the world with joy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just kind of starting. I don't know!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met a surfer once when a friend hosted. We were sketched out because he had neither references nor a picture, but he turned out to be an awesome guy. I believe! I guess I also have a couple other real life friends who have used it and had positive experiences.
Interests
I love individual sports of all kinds: martial arts, snowboarding, rock climbing, etc. I spend a lot of time socializing, which can be a double-edged sword, but I love my friends, and I love meeting new people! Eerybody has an interesting and unique perspective to offer. I also have a bit of a weakness for food and cooking, particularly all things ethnic and/or spicy.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds. This will either be a sprawling epic, or two sentences long.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first time snowboarding on the west coast...the mountains are so huge! All that powder! When you've only ever done the east coast (icy Appalachia), the peaks out here are just spectacular. It's like riding the wind.
I went to the World Trade Center a couple of times. The buildings themselves were, of course, immense and overwhelming, but so was WTC plaza. Just, this big, wide open, empty expanse right in the heart of downtown Manhattan. And then the view of the city from the top was the sort of thing that made me feel humbled and insignificant.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a linguist. I can speak okay Spanish, and I understand a bit of Chinese. So, I can teach English speakers Chinese, and I could teach and/or learn from Spanish speakers. I can also give any given foreigner help with accent reduction in English.
I love sports. If you've been hestitating on the gym, I'll drag you somewhere and have calorie-burning fun.
I grew up in the woods. I can lead through the wilderness. I'm also an experienced and avid hiker/backpacker, so I have survival skills to contribute.
I try to learn everything I can about everything that interests me. So...try me!
