About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to head west-, then north- in my campervan, chasing the sun.

ABOUT ME

I'm just another human being fumbling his way through the pages of life on this little planet. I don't consider myself to be- or have done- anything other than ordinary. I guess I'm kinda non-descript!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live; Do as you please, just so long as you do so with consideration and respect for the planet and all its inhabitants.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a new-comer to CS, I plan to start out with the basics; play host whenever possible, and experience the hospitality of other hosts when next I travel overseas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had 4 experiences so far, all in India. Of those, only one was a truly pleasurable experience, and that was at a place that I did not actually stay at, but spent a good amount of time at to hang out with a CS buddy and the host.

Interests

Travel for the sake of travel; the natural environment; the lives of those who live on the fringe of modern day, consumer driven society; music and a good book.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music faves: XTC; Not Drowning Waving; Midnight Oil; Bloc Party.
Movies faves: The Interview; The Tracker; When Harry Met Sally.
Books: I have read so many good books that I don't remember the titles. Usually they are stories involving people who are societal fringe dwellers/outcasts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the Antarctic Peninsula on a Chilean naval vessel. The pinnacle of my travels, in fact, my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Perhaps- by example- I can show you that a simple, frugal lifestyle can be good for the mind, body and soul, and also treads lightly on the planet.

Countries I’ve Visited

Antarctica, Argentina, Australia, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chile, Democratic Republic of Congo, Fiji, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, Peru, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
