ABOUT ME
After having taken a hiatus from practicing holistic medicine, I have co-invented an aquaponic garden system that converts fish waste, organic food and yard clippings, in a process of nutrient cycling, to grow plants and feed animals.
This sustainable, bioponic gardening method has remarkably never been done before yet promises to make it possible for farming to be done anywhere, without need for off site fertilizers and fish foods. It's pretty crazy.
Our websites are bioponic.org and bioponica.net

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I sleep on couches more than others sleep on mine. I guess Atlanta is not a top destination. Though I did host a bunch of teenagers who came here for the US Social Forum. They brought tents and pitched them in the back gardens. It was great to host spirited youth determined to fix this ailing planet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Seattle Washington, Sausalito California, San Francisco and Sebastopol. I was really amazed at what great accommodations are provided, though I should have made greater effort to get feedback posted.
Lots of cool people - I need to remember to get people to post their feedback on my page.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the Arizona desert a friend and I once swam across a frigid mountain stream and decided to proceeded to climb the mountain two hours before sunset, wearing only shorts. We thought it would be easier coming down on the back side of the mountain instead of the way we went up, yet discovered that the sun would set before this was possible.
It was the sound of the river below that gave hope as we were hidden between ledges, dehydrated and worried to death. We yelled at the top of our lungs every 15 minutes for what seemed like a lifetime.
After hearing our screams search and rescue helicopters arrived and hovered above trying to drop us a basket for hours until they realized it was useless. In the morning they dropped rescuers on the top and repelled to us and informed us we would have to repel down the 75 meter cliff as there was no other way out. Neither had any experience with ropes before.
There were 5 TV stations filming our descent. The Mayor and Sheriff were at base when we were picked up and ferried across the stream by helicopter. We guzzled Kool Aide and ate ham sandwiches on white bread.
Supposedly we were the top story on all the news channels in Phoenix the next day but missed it all as we slept for nearly 24 hours.
It was a night I'll never forget.
