ABOUT ME

I am firstly a nerd. My life is continual reading and learning. I like having new experiences in new places. I like seeing things fit together. Theory. Systems. Magic. I write, make art and play music, cook, garden.

I am simultaneously a serious and silly person. I have a pretty stupid sense of humor (jokes that go on way too long) I like to party and I love my life.

I am an art and music event organizer here in the city of Chicago which I've now lived for 10 years!

My partner Jason and I live together with our two cats and 4 month old son in Wicker Park, Chicago. We run a couple air b & b's and love to travel. We have a garden.

PHILOSOPHY

I am here first and foremost to learn. There will always be more to discover and study. And because I am always learning and growing, there is no set of rules define me as a person. I am always changing and I accept that change. I accept that change in others as well. The world is changing, I accept that too.

Hosting and being Hosted.

Using it as a tool to really expand and deepen the traveling experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since our first couch surfing experience in mid-July 2008, my various houses have hosted close to 20 people, and I have surfed with 3.

It's so exciting meeting people from all over the country and the world and being able to show them what I love about living in Chicago. So far I've met such truly great people that I will stay in contact for a long time.

For the most part I have just hosted people, so now I'm looking forward to being on the "surfing" end of the deal!
