ABOUT ME

I'm an energetic sport enthusiast, who never gets tired of being on the go..unless I'm really tired that is =) Nowadays I work hard and play less hard than I used to, but I think that this has come with age and hopefully wisdom. I'm a city dweller with the soul of a homeless hippy. I'm a journalist so unfortunately I know about all the pain, intrigues and unfairness in this world. I will be happy to offer a space on Anna planet to any travellers who want to chill out in Krakow for a few days, maybe I could show you some sites after work. Although word to the wise, I'm away most weekends in the mountains, so you'll either have to come with or swing by Krakow during the week.

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe that people should live and let live, I'm not a pacifist but I don't approve of some of the wars going on at the moment. I think that charity begins at home. I live for the freedom that mountaineering and a nice bottle of wine with friends brings. After completing a degree in philosophy I realized that I am only certain of the fact that I really dont know anything.

Interests

I'm a bit sport crazy, currently obsessed with climbing, cycling, swimming, but I also like to sit down to a quiet read, I like walking around Krakow. I would say travelling is an interest but with limited days in the year off work, this usually turns into short trips to the mountains at the weekend.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm...cinema, yeah Im there pretty often, once every week if I can manage the time. I like movies which have nothing to do with reality, so no historical epics or mid life crisis melodramas for me. Music - theres too much and so much still to discover, but to give an idea - Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Dispatch!!!, Cat Empire, Jack Johnson, lots and lots of reggae. Books - Russian classical authers and Brit classical authers, currently reading Hotel du Lac by Anita Brookner

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attempting to climb the Matterhorn (or Monte Cervino) from the Italian side, that was pretty intense, we had to turn back in the end becasue of bad weather
