About Me
“It’s the people who make place”
This is a quote literally tattooed on my arm as I live by it. I am an avid traveller and the global exposures form my being. I was born in Rajasthan,India- the land of culture and colours( I think that’s where my artistic side comes from).
I moved to the United States at the age of 22 for my MFA in theatre. Since I am a person who believes in “Jack of all, master of none” ; I went ahead and did a second masters in Interior design. At this point I call myself an interdisciplinary designer.
It’s truly said that if you want to learn design, then don’t study design books ; study people; study places; study paintings. And that’s what I am here for - to travel the world and experience all the different stories that a place has to share.
My calling always has been towards the community work which has made me a social entrepreneur. My brother and I have a social enterprise that focuses on uplifting creative careers amongst underprivileged kids in India and using design as a means to contribute towards the societal good. Currently I am working on studying the psychological impact of slum interiors in India and using my masters as a means to advocate for marginalised communities.
I wear several hats and will probably keep adding more hats to my collection ; and my whole journey is dictated by the people I meet on the way. :)
