About Me

IMP: I may not be able to host you due to some reasons but I am always up for beer or coffee or roaming around the city with you.

Travel lover and a food junkie and single. An aspiring writer. I have masters in energy sciences. I love visiting other countries and have been to a few. Meeting new people add spices in experience. Have some crazy roadtrips stories to share. I am that one friend of yours who is crazy and lives like a hippie.
I run. I run fast. My personal best is 12.5 seconds (update: 12 sec; update: 11.9 sec) for 100m (not that fast tho). We can race anytime anywhere.
I am always hungry, you can offer me food anytime.
I make the best Indian tea with ginger flavor. And yes, it is a show off.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came to know about it when I invited a German guy at my place in Holi festival. This is how it began. We shared experiences, bike trips, etc. That's how I joined couchsurfing!
Visiting Europe for the second time is expected to be another overwhelming experience. Couchsurfing simply makes it better!
My couchsurfing history: Stockholm, Warsaw, Gdansk, Oslo, Milan, Paris, Florence, Rome.

Interests

I write poems and short stories. I have more than 80 poems and a few short stories and counting. I was also part of college athletics team in sprint running.

I love Coldplay, Queen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and rest I like mixed flavor in every genre from 90s songs to eletronic music, Beethoven to Chainsmokers to the doors to Pearl Jam to Radiohead.
I hunt movies and I don't stop until I watch them. I have a loooong list.
I like Paulo Coelho, George Orwell, Dan Brown, Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes, poetry by Emily Dickinson, Charles Bukowsky, Sylvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe, etc.
Learning ukulele these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will give you 5:

1. I am not proud of this. I was in Gdansk, Poland and after having 11 shots and around 50 ml of vodka I was not in feeling good. Being an athlete I am not fond of alcohol. Since you never go to Poland every other day I decided to give it a shot- 11 to be exact.
My friend and our couchsurfer host left the pub early giving me the key to the house. I was hanging out with some college freshmen. I didn't remember the address but knew the street. Somehow reached home at around 2.30 in the morning with two people I met that evening. The best part- I had a flight to catch to Stockholm at 7.30 next morning. That proud moment when I boarded the last minute call.
Again, I'm not proud of the night but the experience is the wildest I have done. I was practically dying of headache! But everything was perfect.
P.S. I don't like alcohol now.

2. I almost got deported from London. Yes, I gambled on going to London without visa. They seized my passport and after a series of questioning and answering....... rest ask me when you come over. Amazing experience indeed.

3. Camping in a garden in Visby, Gotland. We had no idea where we were. 1 o'clock in the night. Hell cold and windy. Best morning ever.

4. I played cricket on a bus station in Oslo with 3 nationalities: Norway, Pakistan and India. Looking forward to do it again.

5. Ate surstromming, raw, twice and willingly. It is the second smelliest food in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you almost anything about India from geography to history to architecture to temples to religions to the government to international relations. If I don't know something I'm curious to know about it.

I have learnt sprinting, pole vault and hurdles sprint. I can train people (theoretically for now).
Discussion about English poetry is always amazing!
If you know Italian or you want to learn Hindi then let's just talk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My first Eurotrip stories about roadtrip from Geneva to Barcelona, pub crawling in Prague and an unfortunate accident in Amsterdam.
Also, I keep food with me all the time. Some exotic Indian dishes, so I guess food is on me (may be, I don't cook these days).
WiFi, what a lovely thing to share.
Milk. I am a milk lover.
