Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Istanbul. I moved to Philadelphia in 2015 to do my PhD in Cognitive Psychology and to ask questions about why we think/behave the way we do. I have been learning a lot about myself, discovering new things, and growing since I started this journey.
I love travelling, seeing new places, trying different kinds of food, getting to know other cultures and learning from other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to get to know new people and cultures. I believe that the best way of learning about a new place is getting to know people living there and I want to make this possible for people visiting Philadelphia as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked as a Disney cast member in Orlando for a summer back in 2010, which turned out to be a great experience. I also worked with children in a detention center, which helped me better understand others, changed the way I view the world, and had a great impact on who I am today.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give tips about where to find good food, place to visit, and things to do around here. I would be very interested in learning about you and your culture!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share all I know about Philadelphia, give tips, and help you have a good time here. I can also share Turkish culture with you and teach some Turkish words if you are interested! :)
