ABOUT ME
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my profile!
My name is Dilchad and I live in Paris.
I love this city! It's been 10 years that I live there and Paris still offers a lot to discover: people, art, cultural life, food, etc.
I was born in France and I grew up in Paris' suburb. My name is Kurdish, as my father is from Baghdad, Iraq, and so I'm half french, half Kurdish-Iraqi. It means "Happy Heart" and I'm doing my best every day to be up to it.
This multicultural background taught me to appreciate people with different cultures/identities & background and that's why I like so much to meet new people and to share good moments with them!
Starting September 2014, I will be a teacher at elementary school :)
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is sharing life with friends and keeping eyes opened on life's poetry!

Music, Movies, and Books
- One of my favorite song is probably "A Change is Gonna Come", Otis Redding's version (if you don't know it, check this out: http://youtu.be/yyhL0ioST_U). Basically, I like all kind of music with a preference for Rock'n Roll (Pink Floyd, The Doors, Eagles, Serge Gainsbourg, etc.), Soul (Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, etc.) and Afro-Beat (Fela Kuti).
- My favorite movie might be Dersou Ouzala from Akira Kurozawa. But I'm also a big fan of more casual movies (going from James Bond to Star Trak... Yes it's true!).
- My favorite book is "Soul Mountain" from the Chinese writer Gao Xingjian.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hum... Inexplicable!
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught African drums during a few years but it's been a while... I was also a part time photographer. I can also give conversational French lessons to English speaking people if I have the time. Don't hesitate to ask and I will see how I can assist you.
