Left Australia two years ago to travel the world. I Live in Toronto Canada at the moment whilst making trips whenever I can. I love music and play and write as much as I can.

I'd describe myself as a nice open respectful and honest person. I am making an effort to become more present and improve my well being and I'm always looking to connect with new people and make new experiences.

Interests

I'm starting to really get into travel. New to it and am surprised to find that i could just about do it for the rest of my life.

I love and live for music.
I play guitar, drums, keys and am learning to sing. I can dable on a few other instruments and am always keen to make some kind of rhythm or melody out of anything i can.
Learning production and sound design too. I recorded an album before i left to go overseas but during my travels my hard drive corrupted and i lost half my files. Sucked so much. But i made it into a challenge for me to rebuild it electronically, learning a whole bunch of stuff I've wanted to get into for ages.

Whilst i love music I'm not the best at listening to lots of it. When i get my hands on a new track or album i tend to just horde on it for ages. I've only recently began branching outside my comfort zone and listening to new things. I've been aiming to get a 'currently listening to' list from any new interesting people i meet and connect with whilst listening without any dated opinions i might of use to hold.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge Radiohead fan and anything in that genre feel. Love progressive rock things along the lines of the Mars Volta and Porcupine Tree. Artists I've been into lately are Chet Faker, Oh Land, Robert Glasper, Bonobo, Cinematic orchestra, Chinese man. One of my friends recently got me into trap. I try to appreciate all genres of music and find an angle of how and why this can be awesome. I believe you can find good, well written music in any genre. And good is good music.

I do like my films. Thrillers, comedies, action, fantasy, whatever really.
I also really really love bad movies. Not like subpar Rom Coms that are kind of funny but have the same plot. I'm talking movies that are so bad it's like an art. Happy Madison films for example. Adam Sandler is THE master of bad films. He can do no wrong yet does so wrong. A delicate balance between going to far and being just offensive. The genius i see in a film like Jack and Jill.

That being said...
I like good films too. Scorsese, Nolan, Edgar Wright, Tarintino and you know generally all the greats.
My favorite film is the departed.

Books.

The alchemist is probably my favorite book as it has so much wisdom and is relatable to the mental journey that I'm on. And it's expressed so succinctly every sentence hits me so profoundly.

Echkhart Tolle, Walt Whitman, Napoleon Hill and i really like The Catcher and The Rye.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Faced my fear of heights as i jumped out of a plane

Sold all my stuff and bought a one way ticket out of Australia

I gave away what i still consider to be most important thing that i have to honor the value of someone i hold close to me

From the deepest point within me i can reflect on how i have come to see the death of the greatest man i have known and loved, my Father, as the last gift that he could do for me. To affirm every lesson and message he ever shared with me as the bright shining light that transformed me into open, positive person i am today.
