Overview
About Me
I'm a 3rd year veterinary student at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm passionate about animals, people, and our environment. I grew up in Delaware as the child of two first generation Americans, learning about Iranian culture and cuisine from a young age. My parents instilled in me a love for travel and I haven't stopped jumping from place to place since.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was first exposed to coachsurfing after backpacking for two months in New Zealand with a friend from college who has been traveling solo for 3 years. I loved traveling and staying with locals, I feel as though there is no better experience than that of the people first hand. I'm on coachsurfing because (student loans, but also...) there is a vibrant community of open minded people out there and being able to connect with them over shared passions is truly the one of the greatest gifts - I genuinely love to meet people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We're on a boat in the middle of the ocean in the Philippines and my friend points out something swimming in the distance - I jumped in and swam over to rescue what turned out to be a dog that must've fallen off a different boat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to TEACH about veterinary medicine, where our food comes from, cooking, and how to make friendship bracelets from string.
I'd love to LEARN how to cook more, your favorite sites to see, and what drives you.
I'd love to SHARE a meal, an adventure, or a drink
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share insight into the food animal industry in the United States, common household misconceptions about dogs/cats, a vast knowledge of LGBT+ terminology, and a pretty good meal (I'm a decent cook).
