Who am I?
Dillon the Pisces , traveller of the world! A simple, down to earth guy, who is all about them good vibes!

My life began 25 years ago when I arrived into this world, however my real journey began during my teen years where I was fortunate to start my travel adventures with my family. It was during these endeavors where I developed an appetite for travel and a thirst for new knowledge.

This new addiction to explore unexplored lands led me to meeting countless of like-minded individuals and opportunities for myself to learn about new lands, new culture and develop a new understanding of myself I previously did not have.

Through the lands of SE Asia, Australia, parts of South America, Central America, USA and Canada my feet have gracefully walked. I am blessed to have so many beautiful souls cross my path during these adventures. They have made ever lasting memories that will never be forgotten and taught me more than a book or a school could ever attempt to.

As a traveller I bring to the table nothing of monetary value, but instead something worth so much more. A genuine heart of gold, one filled with love and compassion towards all of humanity with an honest and positive personality filled with laughter and joy.

I wish to share my stories and exchange them for laughter amongst you, your family and your friends. In return all I ask is that you teach me as much as possible about you, your country, family, friends, favourite food, music, movies, even your favourite old memories growing up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here looking to get the full blown local experience of living in a new country! I would love to experience a day to day life as seen by the eyes of a local. I want to learn everything there is to know about you and your culture. Show me how to cook your favourite meal, sing me your favourite song, bring me to your favourite place you visited as a child, teach me your language, show me a day in your life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love exploring new music! I have a broad range of music listening to everything from rock to country, rap to classical. Can you sing? Play an instrument? I would love to be an audience for you to hear how you express yourself through music or any other creative form for that matter.

Movies- Anything that will make me laugh! Laughter is key in my life, the corniest jokes will have me rolling on the floor! Horror movies are great on a rainy dark night, nothing like a little thriller to get your heart going!

Books- Currently reading the first Game of Thrones - I have not watched the series so do not spoil it for me! :P I love any type of reading material that makes you think deep about life, that can influence your perception of reality in a positive way. Self help books that can offer insight to personal growth and development are top of the list when I'm not escaping away in the fantasy realm

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel there are many amazing things I have done, however one that fills my heart with gratitude was volunteering with special needs children in Bolivia. I had the honour of working with children between the ages of 7-18 who were faced with various ailments such as down syndrome, FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome), autism, hearing disabilities, and other mental disabilities. During this time I created an unbreakable bond between me and the children and learned how incredibly brave and strong these young kids were to face these ailments and push through life with the most positive frame of mind. They truly inspired me to continue helping others.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to learn absolutely anything! I have an open mind and a desire to expand my knowledge in all ways possible. I love being creative and seeing how other express their selves through art, music, dance, writing or any other form.

I am a certified yoga teacher and can share my knowledge with anyone willing to learn. If you are interested in learning about meditation, hypnotherapy, neuro linguistic programing, lucid dreaming or a broad range of other self help techniques, I have a wealth of information on these topics as well as many others. I am always willing to share if you are willing to learn :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like I said I do not have anything of monetary value to offer you, but I can fill your life with love, joy and laughter brought to me by the compassion of you for hosting me.
I can be a person you can rely on for an honest friendship, one who may not know you very well, but will be there to support you in all forms, one who you can exchange stories about anything and everything with, have a good laugh with, be weird and wacky with!
