About Me
Hello! : D
I've had a profile for awhile, but I am only now beginning to use couchsurfing.
I moved to Paris on August 15 to work as an au pair, but the family was not a good fit, so I eagerly parted ways with them and I am now in France on my own. I no longer wan to be an au pair. I'd prefer to travel and explore and enjoy without restrictions.
I have plenty of money for hotels/hostels when I need it, but I'd prefer to Couchsurf because this gives me the chance to meet genuine people who enjoy life in a similar way as myself.
I am a recent college graduate (degrees in political science and sociology) from Loyola in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was born and raised in Texas (yee haw!) but I consider New Orleans to be my true home.
I love to learn, and love to share what I've learned. Reading is a passion of mine, and in spite of my hesitancy to ever show any of it, I enjoy writing as a means of organizing my thoughts and making sense of the world around me.
I've decided to take a year or two off before going to law school (?), and I am going to spend that time in France and elsewhere in Europe.
I'm an intellectually curious guy who is looking forward to meeting all sorts of interesting people during my time abroad. I have luggage filled with lots of books and shoes and clothes and I'm looking forward to whatever the next year or two brings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on here because I feel like in contrast to hotels/hostels, Couchsurfing will be advantageous for better immersing myself in the cultures/areas in which I spend time. I really don't want to be a "tourist" during my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few days ago, I moved into a stranger's castle in Normandy and am currently living here regularly when I'm not traveling around.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to put in this section. I'm fluent in English (native language) and can help my hosts learn, if they are interested. I also have lots of stories, books, and talents to share. I'm interested in learning Italian and French while abroad, so any help with that would be greatly appreciated. I'll admit it: I am an awful cook. I'm eager to learn, though!!
