About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to get us back to the Garden boom baby

ABOUT ME

My life is a story of Music.

My friends would say that I am always happy, because I understand that joy is a by-product of the right state of mind, not something to be earned or achieved. I don't allow negative situations or attitudes to bring me down, and I do everything in my power to make others smile. Above all else, I desire freedom. Music and humanity are my passions. Animals make me laugh. Healing is what I desire to bring with me everywhere I go.

Real, living food is an amazing thing. I'm a veggie-kinda guy myself, and I believe the gift of good food shared between friends is something divine.

I know sometimes people don't like to talk about Love, but sometimes I just won't talk about anything unrelated.

When I am met with music, I have been known to dance.

PHILOSOPHY

Know thyself and to thine ownself be true, any otha way is gonna make you feel blue yea

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm amazed that this many people are so willing to open up their homes to others. I participate by being dependable, reliable. That way, whether I'm surfing, hosting, whatever, my friends know they can count on THIS guy

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed once for a few weeks in Portland with Mihir Desu in June of 2012, which was wonderful. Then again in Durango, Colorado with Zahra Lightway in December 2012. Also a magical experience. Couchsurfing is a blessed tool that brings wonderful people, deserving to be friends, together. It is even how I found my new wonderful home and my new amazing family here in Bellingham. BAM Gina

Interests

The things that grab my attention are many. People who stand out with their actions grab my attention, and by that I mean people who are fully present and aware that, although everyone else around may be stressed out and busy doing mundane tasks, life is a gift and each moment is an opportunity to express the best qualities in humanity.

Children inspire me and bring me great joy. I love to make music, to ride my bicycle through the city or countryside, to swim in the ocean or the lake or the river, to eat colorful and delicious food, to read inspiring and engaging books, to make pendants from sweet crystals, colorful beads and stones, to learn about other peoples' cultures, to spontaneously take road trips to music festivals in order to make new friends, discover new forms of art and self-expression, and to dance to funky-fresh new beats.

I love my family but I don't call them enough. If you read this Mom, I'm doin great and I love you and sorry I don't call you every day, but I am gonna call you RIIIIIIIIIIGHT......... now.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to laugh when I watch films. Music? Too many artists do I love, I won't list them because I wouldn't know who to leave out. Anything with soul. And I mean SSOOOOUUUULL. Books? From Chaucer to Thoreau, Rudyard Kipling to Thich Nhat Hanh to Kurt Vonnegut to Eckhart Tolle to Dr. Seuss, write what you feel, what you see, what you believe, and i'll be totally into it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things I'v seen or done... Well I'v heard whats left of the Grateful Dead play "Strawberry Fields" from the Beatles live, I'v done a good deal of backpacking and mountaineering in the awesome state of Colorado, and there's nothing like standing on top of a mountain and looking around... I'v seen many people use a hula-hoop for the first time after swearing that they couldn't do it.

I'v experienced telepathy on so many occasions that it's not too surprising anymore. I'v woken up before dawn on a beautiful summer morning in La Push, Washington, watched the sun rise from a US Coast Guard 47' Motor Lifeboat, not knowing what the rest of the day would hold for me, and gone to sleep that night in a tent beside the beautiful Columbia River Gorge near George, Washington, after being front-row for Dave Matthews band (whom i have seen 5? times now).

I have ridden an elevator with the members of the band N'Sync. That's something...

I have looked into the eyes of countless souls and EXPERIENCED the wonderful and loving SOMETHING that permeates everything in the Universe.

I have hitch-hiked around the US for a year of my life, playing music and drawing inspiration and beautiful people to me on a daily basis.

What have I NOT done? I haven't gone skydiving. yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will teach anyone willing to learn how to play the guitar, if they don't already know. If they do know, i'll take the djembe, and if nothing else, the tambourine.

Want to learn some basic carpentry skills? I know a thing or two. I can draw up some sacred geometry, although I don't know much about it.

I want to be able to paint. I'v tried a little but to do it with zero inhibition, that's what I want to learn.

I'm learning some swing dance folk dance waltz and other stuff that i can't remember, and I'll learn how to dance from anyone who is willing to teach. I can get DOWN and boo-gey, but dancing would be nice too.
