I am a traveler and cartographer. I'm improving a local map (OCM) along my travels, and it's the most interesting form of travel writing I know. Most of all I am interested in objects that can be added to the map so that other travelers can learn about them.
I prefer to travel by hitchhiking, with a backpack and a tent, but sometimes I stay overnight with local residents.
I do not use the services of paid guides or travel agents, but I am very interested in how the locals live and the local context. In addition, I collect paper maps of different countries and history textbooks for schoolchildren.

I like independent cinema, as well as the cinema of the Soviet Union. I like films by Jim Jarmusch, Guy Maddin, Sergei Eisenstein, Alexei German, Wim Wenders, and other directors.
My favorite writers are Leo Tolstoy, Jean Genet, Andrei Platonov, Andrei Bitov, and Ferdinand Selin.
As for music, I like frantic jazz, atmospheric ambient, as well as authentic, ethnic music of the peoples of the world
