About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure." -Albus Dumbledore
ABOUT ME
I was originally born in Sofia, Bulgaria but grew up in Nashville, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee. I live in Washington DC with my longtime girlfriend working at a tennis non-profit, but looking to break into an arts-based non-profit. I've been involved with theatre and film for a long time and would love to enable and support others in their cultural passion.
I recently completed an AmeriCorps program working with different non-profits in the northeast. The best part was easily the amount of travel--different places every 3-4 weeks. We met so many amazing people and were treated warmly by complete strangers. I've always been a traveler at heart and am always looking for a new adventure and a new opportunity to learn about a new culture or perspective. While in College, I studied abroad for a year in Manchester, UK where I really developed my wanderlust.
PHILOSOPHY
I think we have a very limited amount of time to live and feel and express ourselves. I try not to take life seriously and get as much pleasure of my day to day life as possible. I'd like to make the world a better place for those less fortunate than myself and realize that there isn't enough time to be upset about every little thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't participated in a while! Couchsurfed while on the road in the summer of 2012 and offered my couch while in school. Because of AmeriCorps, I haven't lived in a permanent place until now so I'm hoping to start accepting CouchSurfers into the DC area!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Couchsurfed in summer 2012 when I was interning at the Shakespeare Theatre Festival in Cedar City, Utah. Went hiking all over and met some really great hosts/nature enthusiasts.
