ABOUT ME

Hmm... well let's start with the basics, my favorite color is blue, and my favorite foods are steak, lobster and mashed potatoes. we'll consider that the ice breaker. As for a self description: i love to be happy and see others happy. I find that you cant take life to seriously and its good to start random conversations anywhere you go. There are tons of crazy/awesome people out there, and i would like to meet them all. (i know, impossible, but worth a shot right?!?!?) But anyway, I grew up in a small town and have close family ties. I love to travel, but i also love going home. Im also a bit of a geek, but at the same time will find time for the fun stuff. There is always something to smile about.

PHILOSOPHY

"never let life pass you by"... the time we have been given is limited, but the only boundaries you have are those created within yourself. Knock down the walls, cut the reigns, and live the way life was meant to be. Smile everyday, make that smile contagious, and one day you'll look back with out any regrets and know that everyday was worth it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed my way through St.Paddys in Dublin Ireland! Thanks to some awesome hosts out there we had an incredible time. We also surfed in Cork for another unforgettable experience, hostel guards are on top of their game in Ireland!

Interests

Wow, where to start... My interests span from learning to surf (more recently) to backpacking death valley (a few years back). Im a huge fan of back country skiing, snow ball fights and ice skating. Then, there are times when maine isn't snowy, and I have to resort to venturing around a random mountain or bouldering ocean cliffs. I've found that apple picking seems to be a nice thing to do in the fall, along with checking out the foliage ( it's by far my favorite season!). More recently I've been getting a bit more daring and tried wakeboarding, definately a good time! Hmm... anatomy and physiology are an interest of mine, as an athletic trainer I use it everyday. Oh the most important interest... TRAVELING! I love going new places and meeting new people... how could I forget that!

Music, Movies, and Books

For music I listen to nearly anything, among the favorites are old school rock, acoustic jams, country, some punk, and a bit of pop when Im feelin like shakin my booty. As for movies I fight club, reservoir dogs, and Willy Wonka top the list. I also just saw Good Fellahs which was a great flick and I cant forget about the Warren Miller films that a good friend of mine introduced me to. And for books, right now im bouncing between "Saddartha" and "The Alchemist". Both are good reads so far. As for all time good books, I like "A prayer for Owen Meaney" and the all time famous "catcher in the rye".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky enough to see alaska, hike death valley, mount washington, mt katahdin, a bunch of the appalachain trail, seen the northern lights, gone to tons of concerts, had a baby cow eat my arm.I've met some of greatest people ever, learned to surf, wakeboard, windsurf, and dirtbike. I've been able to rock climb in joshua tree national park (along with some other sick places), eat at some kick ass mom and pops diners, see philadelphia and NY city, hang out in boston and even white water raft northern maine.

if you ever want to learn to slackline let me know, or if you need a tour guide to maine or springfield MA... other than that i once got the award for most random talents, i know kinda strange... and anything you can throw out there i would love to learn/experience!
