Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm Dimitri, a curious soul born in Berlin, raised across Europe, and currently exploring the fascinating intersection of engineering, space, and human potential. My background is a blend of French, Russian, and Ukrainian cultures, and I’ve had the privilege of growing up in Spain.
I’m in my final year of studying medical engineering and entrepreneurship, with a particular interest in data protection. Next year, I will graduate, and I hope to work remotely while traveling the world and discovering new cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet people and make friends all over the world. I'd love to chat about your interests, learn about your culture and your city, and have some fun doing sports, sight-seeing or cooking. I'm especially interested in connecting with people who are passionate about creating art through music, fashion, paintings, and collaborating on projects. I also have a deep love for sunsets, nature, and animals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Music Artists: Eugénie, Billie Eilish, EDEN
Favorite Books: I'm open to recommendations, as I haven’t read much beyond academic books. However, I’d say Circe by Madeline Miller and The Alchemyst by Michael Scott (poorly written but I appreciate the depth of research into mythology and folklore). The Lion by Joseph Kessel (probably the most heartbreaking and controversial book I've read – beware, the writing tone is 'outdated').
Favorite Movies and TV Shows: Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Terminator (1, 2, and Dark Fate), Hunger Games, Black Panther, Everything Everywhere All At Once
Favorite TV Shows: Sense8, Orphan Black, Euphoria, Fleabag
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Possibly my trips to Turkey, where I felt a deep connection with the local people and culture, and a sense of being part of a big family. Costa Rica, where I was profoundly moved by the vastness of nature, and where I felt a deep-rooted connection with both the environment and animals. Iceland, that stands out as one of the most ethereal places I’ve ever visited—its impact on my soul was far greater than I ever imagined.

Khutulun (Mongolia, c. 1260 – c. 1306) was Genghis Khan's great-great-granddaughter. She said she would marry whomever could beat her in a wrestling contest. If she won though, they had to give her 100 horses.
She died unmarried, with 10,000 horses.
