Ahoy Couchsurfers!
My name is Dimitris and I am a Surveying Engineer, but at the same time travelling around the world is what expresses me most. I love meeting new people, learn about different cultures and live in new environments. That's why I try to explore the local side of every destination I visit. I have travelled a lot around Europe, but also in northern Africa and west Asia. I love travelling around Greece and usually I go backpacking to the greek islands during summer for camping and surfing. I could describe myself as a nature addict.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing while looking for a way to meet people all around the world in my city, Athens, Greece. I searched for meet-ups and that's how I found Couchsurfing. I really like the spirit of true willing to meet people and interact with travellers from different backgrounds with different stories and influences. So far, I used to voluntarily guide people visiting Athens, and that's beacause I like to share experiences and knowledge for my city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like music as I also play percussions and I am a vinyl collector. Usually I listen to more chilled, funky, groovy music but I have many influences from heavy sounds to jazz and rythm n' blues. My true love regarding music is americana, with Tom Waits being one of my favourite artists.
