About Me

I had an account way way way long ago. The email address is dead so...yea lol. Joining again for my future travels! I used to host in NYC on Airbnb. I miss meeting fellow travelers. Currently, I am unable to host, but I hope to be able to host in the near future when I move. :)

When I'm not working, I spend my days taking walks on the beach, riding my biking, seeing all the beauty BC has to offer and cooking -- I love to cook! My interests include nonviolent communication (aka compassionate communication), reading really dark books (lol), and caffeine consumption in all its forms (coffee, tea, chocolate). I really love the ocean, critters of all kinds, and fresh air (after living in NYC for decades, it's a big deal!!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To host folks, to stay with folks, and to connect with fellow travelers. Some of my best friends I've met traveling. The world is huge but we have so much in common.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music changes regularly -- currently listening to lots of local tunes. Victoria, BC has a decent music scene - including Bousada. Gogol Bordello, Sia, Emancipator, Dresden Dolls, RHCP, Solange, Kendrick Lamar, and on and on.

I have a terrible memory for movies -- it's kinda strange. I like some sci fi, dramas, some horror, indie flicks, and comedies.

Books is always changing. The last book I finished was "Little Bee". I'm working on literally 5 books right now related to cooking, recovery, murder and crazy children.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved three times in a year (massive moves across oceans).
