About Me
As we say in Russia: "I am up for anyting except for a hunger strike" (Я за любой кипиш кроме голодовки). I love travelling, trying new things and meeting new people. I do have a full time job, so I don't exactly have that much free time, but I try to broaden my horizons both physically and mentally every chance I get.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love learning about other cultures and what can be better than experiencing the culture with a local.
Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to hard/punk rock and metal (Russian and foreign) although I wouldn't call myself a super devoted rocker / metalist.
I try to read every day even if it is only on the subway on my way to work :) I don't have one all time favorite book. Out of the books I've recently read I liked The Book Thief and A Man Called Ove. I also enjoy detective stories, legal thirllers and historical novels about the 20th century.
As for movies, I guess it's easlier to say what I do NOT like, which is cheesy romantic movies, horror and art films (I guess I am not sophisticated enough for those :) ). Everything else is fine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to say) Perhaps, going to Burning Man last summer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always up for learning new things and broadening my horizons. So, if you'd like to teach me something from your culture I will be more than happy to learn. I will also be happy to share my views and tell you about Russian customs, for instance, how to toast and drink vodka properly :D
